  1. As both a musician and a person who spends a lot of time outdoors, I love this image of the crescendo of spring – as each aspect of the meadow – plant, animal, weather – takes up the seasonal song.

  3. oh my gosh Sher, what Joy! You got the whole damn meadow Hootin and stomping and whistling and zinging and singing in the same damn band. Love it!

    As a child spring was “go play outside” and hay fever 

    As adult, safer travels and lighter clothes

    As retired, more days walking

    I like how your words convey movements, changes, a roiling burst of energy

    1. Thanks so much for listening and commenting! A nice reflection on childhood versus adulthood and what spring means. It’s strange, but I don’t have strong childhood memories of spring! You have reminded me of this. Perhaps it is because I was in Phoenix, Arizona from 6 – 12 years of age…hmmm…..
