    2. I’m curious your thoughts about the role of Lad’s Love in the poem? I hadn’t focused on this herb, but now that I do research I find it is quite the aphrodisiac plant. Online I see various ways to describe the scent the poet describes as bitter. The herb seems connected to unfulfilled love or a longing…
