It’s lovely to share a visualization of togetherness in Nature. However, actualizing the dream together is the best.

This seems true also. If they had gone fishing one can imagine the experience would further solidify their friendship or even re-new it. It seems like the speaker accepts how things go, and that would be best for me to accept and let go of any guilt or feeling of failure because we could not find the time to be together. Oh the complexity of human relationships and poetry. One may have so many different views… Thank you for commenting and sharing a perspective.

A listener from the Oregon Coast:
This one does resonate, your intro is spot on, I really like these quick dives into the deep pool of poets. Thank you!

Sometimes we have to accept that while we have lots of good intentions, that inevitably things turn out just right. And we carry memories of just how things were between us.

Your comment really resonates here with me. Although we might at first feel it’s not right we were unable to get together–actually the intentions of getting together are sometimes enough. Thank you for commenting and sharing your thoughts.
