  1. This is lovely – I love the quiet of winter hiking – very little sound but the sound of one’s feet. The quiet also makes me feel as if I am home…

  2. I tried to imagine what that would be like to do a solo retreat in a cabin in the very cold and snowy woods each January. For the poet it seems a way to banish the ancient demons of the past year. Beautiful reflection–thanks so much for listening and taking the time to comment.

  4. I sure resonated with “Welcome Home”. That is how it feels for me to walk solo in the wild places, too. Good medicine, always.
