  Thank you this has been such a fun project for Roy and I. Also, we both enjoyed learning about Alarcón, and his life story and contribution to the empowering nature of poetry. I was really touched by his work with children and his attitude about being multi-languaged (my word). Plus, I so enjoyed listening to Roy read. It’s a delight to be surrounded by the sounds of another language.

About Me

“I’m a retired Humanities professor, published essayist, poet, painter, singer, and old-time fiddle musician living on an historic two-hundred-acre farm in Eastern Oregon. I plant gardens for pollinators and revel in insects, bird dogs, donkeys, goats, cats, and American fantail and roller pigeons. My lyric landscapes are oak savannah, prairie, and riparian.
