      This resonated with me today — I was thinking how you can over revise one’s work of art. You can hone it and hone it until you look and it’s not at all in the same imaginative spirit it began as. Being rational is restraint. Works we enjoy the most show great imaginative leaps. But clarity does a play a helpful role– I guess it’s about a balance–achieving balance between the imagination and rational control. Salvador Dali and many others would not agree. Thanks for your comment.
