  2. this brought back memories of michigan and montana and even a few short stints in hood river these last 38 yrs.here. reminded me to make soup to heat on the stove. a northern woman at heart, i have a love hate relationship with snow. if the wood is in and we’re prepared for it, it’s such a good excuse to get books read and poems written and things sorted. in old age it’s become d a n g e r o u s but it also makes one extremely thankful and joyous to see the spring. hmm-yep. don’t like winter but i need it.

    1. Thanks for commenting. I love that last line –don’t like winter but I need it. I think we all need the rest and dark and time to take stock and do all of those things we don’t do when all we want to do is be outside. Happy Holiday Season to you and yours…
