Loved this! Last lines did remind me of that scene in Don’t Look Up. Previous lines contour life beginning and lived. I’ll add, to have a kitchen table through the one’s end is a grace.

“I’m a retired Humanities professor, published essayist, poet, painter, singer, and old-time fiddle musician living on an historic two-hundred-acre farm in Eastern Oregon.
