  2. i love Rita Dove, and what a back story! Tom & I were one of those couples taking beginner dance lessons. We took the beginner series (east coast swing) at least three times and it was so fun!

    1. Hello– Bruce and I were one of those couples who watched everyone else take ballroom dancing and we briefly considered it but then we went on playing music. A dance in its way I guess. Thanks for sharing your story.

    1. Yes, we can see poetry can spring from all sorts of life happenings–even a disaster or tragedy. Even her voice talking about the fire and afterwards shows a resilient spirit that carries over to the poem. Thanks for commenting.
